Hi, I’m Kelly Nicassio. I’m a wife, mother and a mental health professional. I specialize in supporting families with children diagnosed with PANS (Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome) and PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal infections). With over a decade of experience in child psychology and family dynamics, I understand the unique challenges these conditions pose to both children and their parents.
Parenting Pathways Coaching was born from the desire to give parents and caregivers what I would have loved to have had on my PANS/PANDAS parenting journey: support from someone who understands mental health, family dynamics AND the nuances, isolation and often silent struggle of parenting a child with this syndrome. I intimately know the stress that comes from trying to find answers and heal your child, because I’ve lived it. I offer a compassionate, evidence-based approach that empowers parents to advocate for their children, implement effective coping strategies and foster resilience within their families.
Through coaching, I provide parents with the tools they need to manage their child's symptoms, enhance communication, and build a strong support network. My goal is to create a safe space for parents to share their experiences, gain insights, and find hope amid the challenges.
I hold a master's degree in counseling psychology and am certified in trauma-informed care, equipping me with the skills to address the emotional and psychological needs of families facing the trials of PANS/PANDAS.
